Where does the term "dimable" come from and where do we find it?

The term "dimmable" is a word borrowed from the English verb "to dim", which means "to adjust". This term is found on the labels of many LED bulbs, but also on those of switches that have the property of being "dimmable".

Dimmable bulbs are popular due to their aesthetic and energy-saving potential. The ability to dim a room can completely transform the atmosphere of a room while also providing reduced energy consumption.

What is a light fixture or bulb?

A dimmable LED light fixture or bulb allows the user to adjust the intensity of the light. This flexibility makes the bulb suitable for any home, providing the desired ambiance according to each person's preferences.

Brightness adjustment is traditionally done using a dimmer switch. However, the latest lighting models come with their own remote control or smartphone app , which allows you to adapt the light to the room or the activity being performed.

Example: If you want to read without straining your eyes, you can adjust the light to a lower intensity. For activities that require attention to detail, a bright light is ideal.

Why should you opt for dimmable bulbs?
